Price Alert Tutorial
How to set up price alerts on TradeMind AI — get notified by email when a stock hits your target price.
What alerts do
Price alerts send you an email when a stock's price crosses a level you specify. Use them to be notified when:
- A stock reaches a signal's entry price (so you can enter at the right time)
- Your target price is approached (so you can prepare to exit)
- A key technical level is breached (support or resistance)
Setting up an alert
- Go to the Alerts page from the navigation menu
- Click "Add Alert"
- Enter the ticker symbol (e.g., AAPL, BTC-USD)
- Enter the price level to be alerted at
- Choose direction: "Above" (notify when price rises above this level) or "Below" (notify when price falls below)
- Click Save
How alerts are checked
Price alerts are checked every 5 minutes against live prices. For stocks, this applies during market hours. For crypto, alerts are checked 24/7.
When triggered, an email is sent to your registered account address. The alert is then marked as triggered and deactivated (it will not fire again for the same level).
Web push notifications
You can also enable browser push notifications on the Alerts page — click "Enable Push Notifications." This allows alerts to be delivered as browser notifications even when the TradeMind tab is closed (on supported browsers and devices).
